How do our SMC-1SD Toroidal Winding Machines work?

Firstly, the supervisor sets the program of our Semi-Automatic SMC-1SD Toroidal Winding Machine to determine the number of windings wanted. For example, it can be 200 windings per layer with a total of 5 layers which equals 1,000 turns. Equipped with a stepper motor core rotation control with teach-in functions, our supervisor just dials the correct core rotational speed and saves it to the programmer for ease of recall. The degree of the windings is then automatically set and the core speed needs to be found before being stored for future reference. Once the program is set, the operator can start working on the machine. The wire is unloaded and the operator puts the wire into the toroidal winding machine. The winding is automatically done while the operator holds the wire. After the winding is completed, the operator can detach the finished product manually from the machine.

What are the advantages?

The winding speed is variable up to 2,000 TPM and the wire pitch is programmable, from coarse to fine micro-step resolution. Furthermore, the segment winding, progressive winding, deceleration, and acceleration control are programmable with a controller. In total, each of our new Toroidal Winding Machines has a storage capacity of 99 programs with sub-levels.

As our factory is already equipped with several JV100BE Models, all our winding heads and core rotators will perfectly fit the SMC-1 base. The maximum wire size is 1.40mm and the minimum wire size is 0.05mm. Thanks to its latest version of PLC, a microprocessor, our teams can now input the encoder outputs for one revolution of the shuttle and one revolution of the core. This functionality enables the winding of any configuration needed without trial and error! With the automation of the winding, human errors are prevented in terms of turn numbers and wire breakage!
